The one challenge that excites us above all others is to find a use for things that would otherwise be thrown away.

This challenge presented itself when we changed the design of our Carry On bottles. We had some at a loose-end and while glass is a valuable recycling material, we wanted to give them a new life in their current form, rather than an ending.

Eloise of Fools Glass and Lachy of Space–man Studio, our neighbours down the street, made them into lamps by hand. Bottles as bulbs. Off-cut glass as shades. Aluminium, endlessly recyclable, as the base.

A beautiful and completely unexpected blend of materials.
